Becoming a Man Alive
In Man Alive, Patrick Morley will show men how God provides a clear path for them to harness that raw, restless energy they feel for each of seven deeply felt, primal needs—propelling them away from mediocrity. In this workshop, he’ll focus on one of those needs—our Father’s relentless love. As a teacher and speaker, Pat’s heard thousands of men ask, Does God really care about me? Most men are not so sure. By God’s grace, today not only does Pat believe God loves him, but he actually feels like his much loved son. You can too. In this workshop Pat will show you how.
- What is Man Alive all about?
- Have you been able to accept—to really believe and trust—that God loves and cares about you personally? If not, what is holding you back?
- How can you help other men know that God really cares about them?
In 1991, Patrick founded Man in the Mirror which has impacted the lives of 10,000,000 men worldwide, has distributed 8,000,000 books, and last year worked with 30,000 church leaders to more effectively disciple men. Pat wrote the landmark book, The Man in the Mirror, which has sold over 3,000,000 copies and was selected as one of the 100 most influential Christian books of the twentieth century. Pat’s newest book, Man Alive, was just recently released. He and his wife, Patsy, have two grown children and live in Winter Park, FL.

Jesus & Paul on Men’s Discipleship
This interactive workshop will focus on how our Lord Jesus Christ and the Apostle Paul clearly modeled developing men as a crucial, primary and early focus of their leadership ministry. The church today must regain the holy alliance between church planting and men’s discipleship. Pete’s workshop will answer the following questions:
- How do the Scriptures support the alliance between church planting and men’s discipleship?
- How can a church planter build men’s discipleship into the core of his church plant (a case study)?
- What challenges and potential roadblocks face those who adopt the alliance of church planting and men’s discipleship?
Dr. Pete Alwinson planted and served Willow Creek Presbyterian Church as senior pastor for 26 years. He speaks for and serves on the boards of Man in the Mirror and Key Life Network, and is an adjunct professor at Reformed Theological Seminary. His passion is to leave no man left behind on the battlefield of life but to encourage all men to grow in Christ and in turn, reach other men.

Reaching Men at the Heart Level – a No Man Left Behind Training Conference Workshop
(Open to everyone and designed for those men that registered for the No Man Left Behind training)
This workshop will discuss the need to get beyond a performance orientation for men. Just like you can’t treat cancer by putting a Band-Aid on a man’s skin, you can’t help a man become a disciple by fixing his behavior and allowing him to ignore his heart. Christianity is not about behavior modification; it’s about heart transformation. In this workshop, you’ll learn about:
- The struggle of self-reliance for men in America.
- How to create an environment that God can use to change men’s hearts.
- The three spheres of ministry to men in your church.
Brett Clemmer is Vice President of Leadership Development with Man in the Mirror. He helped establish and was the first Director of the Leadership Training Center at Man in the Mirror. He is the co-author with Patrick Morley and David Delk of No Man Left Behind: How to Build and Sustain a Thriving Disciple-Making Ministry for Every Man in Your Church.

Leading From Your Strengths Building Close-knit Ministry Teams
This interactive workshop will equip you to lead from your strengths and empower others to do the same. The body is one but it is made up of many different parts. God not only intentionally created differences, but He designed them very specifically. God’s desire is for differences to complete not compete. In this workshop you’ll learn about:
- Why is there so much division and lack of corporation in church staffs today?
- How do we help leaders in the church be more connected and purposeful?
- How do we hire the right people and place them in the right ministries?
- Why do some leaders seem to thrive and other just seem to just survive?
Rodney Cox is one of the country’s emerging leaders in the strengths movement. The Journey to Biblical Manhood
The Journey to Biblical Manhood is a flexible, yet concrete, plan for leaders to use to engage all the men in their church in a discipleship process. After No Man Left Behind training, many leaders tell us, “I get it now. But can you just tell me what to do?” There is no one-size-fits-all ministry for men, but JBM gives you specific steps and plans that you can adapt to your church’s context and situation.
- How can I engage all the men in my church in a discipleship process, not just those in my men’s ministry?
- How can I gather and keep a leadership team moving in the same direction?
- What are they key ideas that will move me beyond an event or activity based ministry?
David Delk serves as President of Man in the Mirror. He is the author or co-author of five books, including The Marriage Prayer, Dad in the Mirror and No Man Left Behind, as well as a novel, Twists of Fate. David was named Emerging Leader of the Year (2000) by the National Coalition of Men’s Ministries and has been a visiting lecturer in Biblical Studies at Reformed Theological Seminary. He and his wife, Ruthie, live in Orlando with their three children.

Craving Grace Like Chocolate (for Women) – Part I
The Gospel changes everything! Is it changing you? Sometimes the disconnect between our head and our heart keeps the gospel from really impacting our lives. As we begin to embrace what God has done for us on the cross, we will see how it really does change everything-even our identity! O
- How do we resist living like an orphan- stuck in old patterns and sheltering our pain?
- How do we allow our identity to be shaped by who God is and not by our season of life, circumstances, or pain?
- How does the Gospel rescue us from ourselves and offer us freedom and hope?
Ruthie Delk has a heart for seeing women’s lives transformed by the gospel. She enjoys leading bible studies and sharing with women any chance she gets. Ruthie has just transitioned from heading up the women’s ministry at her church, which she co-led for six years, to directing a local home school organization that provides programs and support for homeschooling parents. She and David have been married for over 20 years and have three children.

Craving Grace Like Chocolate (For Women) Part II
Even as his daughters, we are constantly bumping into the wall of our unbelief-from the little lies that we believe, to the idols of our hearts that slowly consume us. Each one demands to be fed and distorts the Gospel and threatens our identity. The truth can transform us just as much as a lie can destroy.
- What are you believing? Is it transforming you, or destroying you?
- What will it take for us to fall back and rest in His love? A love that is not based on my own performance, but His.
- How does that love transform me from the inside out and allow me to celebrate life as His daughter?

- The top reasons that people turn to coping mechanisms for relief, and how to engage the mind and heart of someone who has already come to this point.
- Why so often our best motives betray us when we attempt to assist others in their journey toward personal restoration and relational wholeness.

Using the Movie “Courageous” to Engage and Mobilize Men
Many men have recently seen the movie “Courageous” and God will use this resource to engage their hearts. The movie will launch men into action mode but this action will soon fade if the local church does not have a plan and process to train and equip these men to execute the challenge. Brian will provide a timeline of ideas on how to capture and sustain the momentum of the movie and DVD. This interactive workshop will help:
- Understand why “fatherhood” opens the door to a man’s heart and not just his head.
- Educate leaders on the father’s blessing and the wounds that many men carry.
- Offer solid resource options that can help men move from good intention to good execution.

Developing and Sustaining Character and Integrity
Everyone talks about character and integrity but what does it really mean and does it matter?
